suggestions of summer

Warm air and sunshine teases and tricks my senses,
sweeps me away from books and papers,
and drags me to the still frosty ocean.
 On the most recent occasion
I was pried away from stories of genocide
and french conjugations
to char mushrooms and spicy peppers
and listen to the music of friends.

Margaux Arramon-Tucoo and Mele Saili

These logging shorts go out to Caroline, Betsy and everyone else who rips on a long board.

MARGAUX. from Shaper Studios on Vimeo.

The image quality isn't that high on the second one but the surfing and soundtrack more than make up for it.  As for Marguax, well she just seems like a rad human being.  Check out her blog (the fresh area) for great surfing, her intricate artwork, and beautiful imagery.

April Images

So I clearly have been slacking on posts this month.  My excuses are the copious amount of work I have between FoodWhat?! (which is still awesome), my Anthropology senior seminar on memory, advising for the Anthropology department, and actual work at Patagonia.  Somehow I have still managed to get some awesome shots of friends, food, and musical endeavors.  The past couple weeks I have gotten the great opportunity to photograph a range of wonderful musical people.  Here are some of the images:

I love pupusas and point breaks

El Salvador was fantastic! I am itching for my next opportunity to surf warm waves.  We surfed a range of waves, ate delicious (and super cheap) food, hung out in hammocks, and took a grip of naps.
The people were great, the scenery was awesome, and the air and water were superbly warm. Here are a few pics...P.S. I found a pupusa recipe that I plan on putting into play in the very near future.
